“Dear children! May this time be a time of prayer for you. ”

Message from Medjugorje on March 25, 2023

In 2017, I traveled to the tiny village of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As I boarded the plane to a faraway country, I was filled with excitement, uncertainty and hope. What I didn’t understand then is that my life would never be the same again.

Once I returned safely home I realized that my heart was now

divided between two places. 

Many people ask me what is so special about Medjugorje. It can often be controversial and met with doubt and unbelief. In all honesty, before my pilgrimage, I had many of the same thoughts and questions. If you have been blessed to experience Medjugorje then you know. You know how it seeps into your heart and you never want to leave, yet you want to return home to your loved ones. 

I refer to this as my Medjugorje Metanoia.

My heart and faith life were forever changed. I had a glimpse of what life is like when you are completely focused on God without the world’s distractions. I experienced Mass in a new and profound way, yet it was so simple and pure. The Sacrament of Reconciliation was cleansing and healing, but watching the many pilgrims receive  the Sacrament from countless priests as they sat on benches, huddled against the church wall, and in the confessionals was an overwhelming sight to see. The blessings and healings from Heaven are abundant in the tiny village. The evening Eucharistic Adoration brings people together from all over the world. Imagine thousands of people kneeling in silence before a gigantic monstrance. The presence of Jesus seeps into your heart and soul and transforms your life, knows as the Medjugorje Metanoia.

Once again, the Blessed Mother has invited me back to Medjugorje. Tomorrow, I will be leaving on my fourth pilgrimage to a place that I love. A place that feels like home.
